Alright loves, hold your breath! Today I am going to share all the magic that happened at thursday last week in the most amazing location in Zurich e-v-e-r! But let’s start from the beginning and the occasion for being invited to nothing less than the most luxurious Hotel in Switzerland: The Dolder Grand. The equally luxurious host of this exclusive event – Etihad Airways, also known as “World’s Leading Airline of 2013” just to mention – dedicated and celebrated the new direct flight path between Zurich and Abu Dhabi that is operated by the Etihad Airbus A330-300 since the beginning of June 2014.
I must admit I have not been traveling much in the past and therefor I did not spend very much time in airplanes yet, but still I have been passenger in quite a few different airlines and I can tell you with all my sincerity I have never seen such an impressive amount of pure luxury in an airplane ever in my life before. You might wonder how I am able to tell that as I have been only a guest at the event but not at the airplane itself, therefor let me enlighten the enthusiasm of the past sentences. During the event we were not only spoiled with delicious niblets, bubbly champagne, a gorgeous ambiance, the possibility to meet the iconic David Hasselhoff or getting an original Henna tattoo made by two beautiful Arabian woman – Oh, and not to forget the private concert of Ronan Keating (OMG, I still can’t believed this was true, I was almost crying while singing along his songs only 3 meters away from him).
No no, that was not all! We also had the opportunity to have a closer look at all the travel classes that reach from basic Economy to the upper luxurious of traveling: the Residence. Which is without joking a genuine little apartment including a lounge, bathroom and a bedroom hidden inside the plane (see it yourself through a video here!). I mean seriously, have you ever seen something like that before? I definitely haven’t and I definitely also haven’t even dreamed about something like this even existing. Yes, of course there are private jets that are way more exclusive and luxurious for sure – but for passenger aircraft you probably can’t expect anything more than the “Residence”. Eventually I still agree with how I began with this article by using the word “magic”, as the whole evening was filled up with it.
